Budweiser NYFW
Deadstock Colletion
Budweiser turns 150 this year. Which is a milestone most brands will never see, and it’s a testament to a brand that is truly woven into the fabric of American culture.
That heritage shows up in unexpected places, like people’s closets. Vintage Budweiser tees from the ’80s and ’90s have become legit collectibles. These shirts are fetching $200+ on resale platforms because they represent an authentic, "found" cool that you just can’t replicate.
So, I started playing with a concept for NYFW that celebrates their gritty, American fashion legacy rather than pretending to be "high fashion." The idea starts with lifting the artwork from those iconic vintage tees and flexing them directly onto limited-edition packaging.
Then, take it to the streets. Imagine a partnership with a resale platform like Grailed or eBay to buy back original pieces, and sell them out of a box truck in SoHo during the height of fashion week.
To bridge the gap between "heritage" and "modern," they could tap creators like Andrew Burgess (IG: @wandythemaker) or Mariah Metcalf (IG: @upcyclex) to upcycle those vintage finds into one-of-one runway pieces. Then, close it all out with a fashion show inside a classic NYC dive bar.
Budweiser has always been part of the culture. This is just a concept to bring that culture to the runway without losing its soul.
