Sailor Jerry x Zach Bryan
“Rot-Gut Whiskey”
Zach Bryan is an American singer-songwriter and musician known for his folk and country-style music. Zach served for eight years in the US Navy, after enlisting at 17. He started building a following after a video went viral of him playing the now Platinum ‘Heading South’ by a campfire while on-base in Florida. Zach was honorably discharged from the Navy in 2021, to allow the up-and-coming prodigy to pursue his career in music. The only other person to ever be honorably discharged from the Navy to pursue a music career is Elvis.
Sailor Jerry, born Norman Keith Collins (1911–1973), was a renowned tattoo artist who played a pivotal role in shaping the traditional American tattoo style. Known for his bold lines, vibrant colors, and classic designs, Sailor Jerry's impact on tattooing is profound. He acquired his nickname during his service in the U.S. Navy and honed his skills in Honolulu, Hawaii. His iconic tattoo designs, inspired by nautical and Americana themes, continue to influence the industry, solidifying his legacy as a pioneer of traditional American tattoo artistry.
